Temptation Tastes Sweet

This collection represents a deeply personal exploration of internal conflict, impulsivity, and the duality of desire. It is a visual apology letter, a cathartic expression of both vulnerability and defiance. Each piece reflects a moment of feeling untethered yet yearning for connection, love, and purpose. 
The use of bandages on fingertips throughout the collection carries a layered symbolism. It serves as a reflection of both personal anxiety and the metaphorical act of others "biting" into my style and identity. Drawing from the compulsive act of Onychophagia, the bandages represent a protective barrier—both against external forces and the vulnerabilities within myself. 

This work is deeply indebted to two influential creative forces. Stylist Betsy Johnson, whose unfiltered and fearless approach has shaped many of the looks, and Japanese label Beauty:Beast founder Takao Yamashita, who has guided me to explore my individuality and translate that raw self-expression into the designs. Their impact is woven into the very fabric of this collection. 

Temptation Tastes Sweet was born from a place of hopelessness—a realization of the fleeting nature of indulgence and how temptation, while alluring, often fails to sustain. The themes of isolation and self-reliance dominate this narrative, showcasing the struggle of living for others while simultaneously grappling with one's own fear of failure. At its core, the collection speaks to the universal desire to feel valued and seen amidst the chaos of life.

Through raw imagery and emotional storytelling, the collection channels a sense of triumph forged through adversity. It pays tribute to moments of survival, self-reflection, and transformation. This work is a dedication to those who stood by me when I doubted my own ability to persevere.
